Book Release: ‘PUNK USA – The Rise and Fall of Lookout Records’

Punk USA documents the Lookout! Records empire through hundreds of exclusive and original interviews. The label originally operated out of a bedroom, releasing influential recordings from California’s East Bay punk scene. These releases included records from  Operation Ivy, the Mr. T Experience, The Groovie Ghoulies, and teenage Green Day. Dr. Frank (Mr. T Experience) releases ‘cassingle’ to accompany new novel ‘King Dork Approximately’

For those not in the know Frank Portman, A.K.A. Dr. Frank from the Mr. T Experience, is also an acclaimed young adult author, and he has a new book coming out Dec. 9 titled, “King Dork Approximately.” To coincide with the book  a”cassingle” will be released on Mooster Records. Berkely, California’s Mr. T Experience have released their entire catalog in digital format. Since most of their releases were on the now defunct Lookout! Records, the availablity of the albums were dwindled down to eBay auctions and collector sites.
