Chris Douglass

Live music is what brought me back to photography after a long hiatus. Love it! I love it more due to the fact that I don’t have to worry about posing people and just getting to rock out! ;)

I am a fashion / glamour / action photographer with the occasional forays into Concerts and Weddings. I do my best to capture the energy and atmosphere of any subject I’m shooting to really freeze that moment in time. I love the art form and freedom of expression through this medium.

Pennywise

SoCal pride was flowing strong in Denver this October when the best skate punk bands of the 90s rolled through The Ogden Theatre in full force. For a wednesday night punk show, The Ogden theatre was packed with an older crowd of punks that could look past the service fees attached to the ticket price. With the majority of the audience sporting Jim Lindberg’s signature baseball hat, this crowd was ready to transport back to the mid 90s when the …

Pennywise

Last week Pennywise, A Wilhelm Scream, Teenage Bottlerocket and Wiredogs killed it at the Ogden Theatre in Englewood, CO. There’s no doubt this was a great show and anyone that attended can attest to that. Unfortunately, that’s not what I’m going to talk about. The photographer at this particular show is none other than Christopher Douglass whom has been with us almost since the very beginning and is not only a super talented photographer, but also a very genuine human / …

Gallery + Review: Mad Caddies, Mrs. Skannotto and Synthetic Elements in Denver

Mad Caddies

I had not seen the Mad Caddies live in probably 7 or 8 years! I still remember picking up Quality Soft Core for the first time and just falling in love with the solo from “I’m So Alone”. That entire album was one of the most played in car rides with my friends back through High School. I even remember going through a McDonald’s drive through and noticing that one of the preppiest cheerleaders from our school just happened to …

Gallery: Bayside, Four Year Strong, Daylight and Mixtapes in Denver

Bayside

The Summit Music Hall filled up quickly as the audience wanted to ensure good spots for an evening full of rock. The Bayside fans were in full force this evening and you could almost call it a “cult” following! But before we were able to see our main act, we had 3 great bands to prime the crowd for an energy filled evening. First up, Mixtapes from Ohio. You could tell this group was having a blast on tour and …

Propagandhi

Last week I got the chance to shoot Propagandhi, The Flatliners and Allout Helter in Denver at the Summit Music Hall. All three bands were lucky enough to play to a sold out crowd in Denver. Instead of getting into all the details of a show you know was amazing, I’ll just let you check out the photos. * all images by Chris Douglass (@CeeKayOhFive)   onTheWeb: Propagandhi | The Flatliners | Allout Helter Follow: @propagandhi @theflatliners @AlloutHelter

Gallery: MxPx, Allister and Potato Pirates in Denver at Bluebird Theater

MxPx

It was a cold and snowy evening when MxPx rolled into town… but once you got inside the Bluebird Theater, things were about to heat up to a packed house ready to rock! Potato Pirates were up first. These guys are probably one of the most seasoned bands in Denver and always put on a hell of a show. They certainly got the crowd going with their high energy antics and really set the bar high for Allister and MxPx …

GBW of Riot Fest Denver

This album is dedicated to all the awkward, weird, fabulous, fashionable, and entertaining folks who were at Riot Fest Denver.  I played paparazzi on everyone and totally sniped photos of these folks from a distance to catch them at their best and in the wild… and by best, I mean at your worst with odd looks on your faces. To everyone in this album, you all kick ass for being you. – Chris Douglass (CKo5 Photography)   onTheWeb: Riot Fest …

Gallery: Swingin’ Utters, Potato Pirates, Straight Outta Luck and The Larimers

The Summit

Old time Punk Powerhouse the Swingin’ Utters filled up and shredded the Moon Room with their onslaught of catchy melodies and driving riffs. Its been about 10 years since I last saw these guys take the stage and they still came on with the same energy and impact as I could remember while bringing back feelings of nostalgia and why I’ve loved this musical genre all my life. Opening up the show at the Moon Room were The Larimers and …
